If you're not a Virgin Media customer, don't worry - you can still buy insurance from £7.99 a month. And if you change your mind, you can cancel at any time.

What’s not included?

Full details are in your terms and conditions. You’re not covered for:

  • The excess fee is between £70 and £150 claim excess fee depending on which handset you have, find out here.
  • The £20 international delivery charge, plus all associated customs fees
  • Any third claim made within 12 months of your first settled claim
  • Any loss or theft after 14 days, unless the free Mobile Rescue app is installed on your phone
  • Any phone left unattended, unless it’s locked securely out of sight
  • Any phone left on the bonnet, boot or roof of a vehicle
  • Unauthorised calls made on your account (but remember, Mobile Rescue means you can lock your phone)

Misplaced your phone? All is not lost

Our handy Mobile Rescue app does everything it can to get your phone back, or make sure that no one else can use it. And it comes included with your insurance.

  • Remotely lock your phone, by text from another phone or online
  • Send a text to your missing phone to set off an alarm
  • Automatically lock the phone, even if the original SIM is replaced
  • Track down the location of your mobile online or with another smartphone
  • Back up all your contacts online and load them onto your new phone

Who can get insurance?

Any Pay Monthly customer who's buying a Virgin Mobile phone. Unfortunately, we don't offer insurance for Pay As You Go phones or Mobile Broadband modems any more.

 

Mobile insurance with Virgin Media is arranged and administered by NEWAsurion Europe Limited, an authorised and regulated insurance intermediary with the UK Financial Services Authority (no. 502545) with Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe Limited, an authorised and regulated insurer with the UK Financial Services Authority (no. 202205).  If you decide to buy mobile insurance with Virgin Media, we’ll pass your details to NEWAsurion Europe Limited, so that they can set up your policy.

How much does it cost?
Here's the great news: If you're a Virgin Media customer, insurance is included for no extra charge. If you're not a Virgin Media customer, it costs just £7.99 a month.

How do I get it?
When you're buying your phone online, your insurance will be added to your basket automatically. You can remove it from your basket if you’re sure you don’t need insurance, but remember, you can’t add it again later, so now's the time to grab it! If insurance is included in your tariff and you decide to remove it, you won’t receive any discount on your monthly tariff.

I've damaged my phone how do I make a claim?
If you bought your insurance on or after 5th July 2010 but before June 11th 2012,  click here   to make a claim.

If you bought your insurance before 5th July 2010, call our previous insurance provider, Lifestyle Services Group Limited on 0845 070 5558.

I've lost my Policy Booklet how can I get a copy?
