Video Calling

Now there's a whole new way to catch up with your mates! Video Calling lets you link up with your mates live... wherever you are, whatever you're up to. You'll both need to have a 3G phone to be able to see each other. And you'll both need to be in 3G coverage too. But the rest couldn't be easier or more fun!

How do I make a video call?

• Got a 3G phone? Great! Now all you need to do is check that you're set up.
• If you bought a Virgin Mobile 3G phone with a SIM that said "Ready for Video Calling", you'll be set up and ready to go.
• Brought your 3G phone to Virgin Mobile? If your SIM pack said "Ready for Video Calling", you'll be set up too.

Otherwise, you can get set up by phone or by text.

• To get set up by text - send a message to 80310, with the word "Video". Sending the text will cost just 3p.
• To get set up by phone simply give our team a call on 789 from your Virgin Mobile phone. Talking to our team on 789 costs a flat rate of 10p no matter how long you talk for.

All set up? To make a video call:

1. Pick a mate (who also has a video phone)
2. Select their number from your phone book
3. Press the video call option

How do I take a video call?

1. It's just as easy!
2. When the call comes through you can see whether it's a voice or video call
3. Choose to take it as a video call, or go for voice only it's up to you!

How much does it cost to make and receive a video call?

It's just 30p a minute to call other Virgin Mobiles.

Video calls to other networks within the UK costs just 50p per minute. Either way, video calls are free to receive in the UK.

While you're abroad you'll be charged to make and take video calls. It's £3 per minute to make a video call and £1.50 to receive one.
