Using Group Call

With Group Call you can hook up with 20 other people, at the same time, on the same line - just by making one simple phone call.

It's cost-effective and quick. You don't even have to register to use it.

You can have a Group Call with as many as 20 people, or as little as 3. They can be on any UK network, a landline or even abroad.

How to set up a Group Call

It's simple to set one up:

• First choose an organiser who's a Virgin Mobile customer.
• The organiser can choose a 4-digit security PIN. This is optional.
• The organiser contacts the rest of the group telling them:
       - The date and time of the call
       - The organiser's mobile phone number
       - The PIN number (if there is one)
       - You can save time and tell everyone by Group Text if you like.
  

How to make the Group Call

If you're the organiser...

• Simply call 07953 966 966 from your Virgin Mobile phone.
• When you call, we'll ask you to enter your mobile phone number. (It's also known as the Group Identity Number). Followed by the hash key (#).
• If you've chosen a 4 digit PIN we'll ask you to enter this too, followed by the hash key (#). If no PIN has been set, just press the hash key (#) to get started.

If you're a caller...

• Simply call 07953 966 966.
• When you call, we'll ask you to enter the organiser's mobile phone number. (It's also known as the Group Identity Number). Followed by the hash key (#).
• If you have a PIN number, we'll ask you to enter this too followed by the hash key (#). If no PIN has been set, just press the hash key (#). And that's it!

Callers can enter and leave the Group Call at any time. Each time they do, we'll let you know. You'll hear a beep followed by the number of callers left.

How much it costs

• Same as a call to a Virgin Mobile phone.
• Each member pays the cost of a single phone call.
• There's no premium rate, no hidden charges and no set up fee.

For Virgin Mobile customers, that's:

• Just 15p for the first 5 minutes of calls each day, and 5p per minute after that from the UK. Whether you call day or night.

Taking part in a Group Call from overseas? It'll cost the standard rate for calling a Virgin Mobile from abroad.

Selecting a PIN

Selecting a PIN number for your call is optional. It gives you a little extra security. If you'd like to set a PIN, the Group Call organiser can pick any 4-digit number and communicate it to the rest of the group.

When you make your Group Call, we'll ask you to enter your organiser's mobile phone number (that's your Group Identity Number) followed by the hash key (#). Then we'll ask you to enter your PIN number, followed by the hash key (#). And that's it! Your Group Call can begin.

Group Call terms and conditions

• The Group Call organiser must dial from their Virgin Mobile phone within the UK.
• Other Group Call participants may be customers of any other mobile or landline network.
• Calls to the Group Call service will be charged as a call to a Virgin Mobile customer. Each customer will pay for their call into the Group Call service. You'll be charged for your call as soon as you connect to the Group Call service.
• In the unlikely event that the Group Call service is being used to its capacity, you'll hear an announcement to let you know.
